Increasing Emphasis

With increasing emphasis on Health and Safety in the workplace, safe working practices are of prime importance in all aspects of McConnell’s activities.

The Construction (Design & Management) regulations require McConnell’s to have an increased responsibility, to ensure that all appropriate measures are taken to ensure on-site safety at all times.

McConnell's system of carrying out risk assessments at the survey or pre-tender stage of a contract, and our extensive in-house safety documentation, ensures our compliance with the regulations whether as a principal contractor, subcontractor, or as a member of the planning supervisor committee.

Experience and Proficiency

As responsibility for ensuring that the contractor is competent and safe has spread to the client, McConnell’s are finding our experience and proficiency in CDM requirements is becoming increasingly invaluable to all of our existing and potential clients.
